Yes, all our tours are conducted in your own private iconic London black taxi. The taxi is exclusive to you and your group. It provides an oasis of calm in which you'll enjoy a relaxing memorable experience. 

Our tours costs are displayed by each individual tour description. They are of varying lengths and time and this reflects the cost shown. Tours prices are for up to 5 people which is amazing value for money.

No, we charge the one competitive price for the hire of the iconic London taxi (and your knowledgeable friendly Driver-Guide). That price covers upto FIVE people. Outstanding value! 

Yes, we will pick you up and drop you off at any Central London hotel or accommodation address. We tend to run tours after the morning rush hour traffic and your Driver-Guide will arrive early enough to introduce him/herself and give you a welcome talk and briefing about the tour.

Yes, we use the iconic London black taxi which comfortably holds 5 people (and their luggage).

In the near future we will be offering the electric/hybrid taxi (which is also styled closely on the traditional London black taxi and seats six people) but at present our wonderful 5 seater taxi offers that iconic experience that our customers are looking for. 

All of our taxis have built in ramps and are fully wheelchair accessible. Please note (dependant upon the size of your wheelchair) if a person remains in their wheelchair throughout the tour it may limit the number of people the taxi can accommodate comfortably. Collapsible wheelchairs can be stored in the front luggage compartment of the taxi.

As these are private tours we can design the tour around your mobility. We can often adapt a tour to cater for minimal walking (or even none at all). We will ensure that you still have a wonderful experience.

Alas, No. Your taxi Driver-Guide will be providing a live commentary for you throughout the tour, but only English speaking Driver-Guides are available. 

Yes, all our Driver-Guides have embraced their passion for London and have qualified as officially recognised Tour Guides through the highly respected and industry recognised course run by The Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers. 

Also, just to become a licensed London black taxi driver in the first place, they have had to pass 'The Knowledge' which is undisputedly the hardest taxi driver test on the planet (It involves learning and retaining a volume of knowledge in excess of a top law degree!)

Yes! We asolutely encourage it. You can have  many stops along the route as you like – As many photos as you wish. it’s your private tour. We want to help you create lifelong, fabulous memories of London.

The short answers are - Yes, and Yes. 

There's nothing worse than feeling thirsty, hungry or uncomfortable.

If you find you need a comfort break, a coffee or other refreshment just tell your Driver-Guide. It’s your time and your Black taxi discovery tour.

You can book any of our tours on this website by expanding the menu in the top left corner of the page and going to 'BOOK A TOUR'. Feel free to contact us for as much detailed information as you like before booking your tour. We'll provide a refreshingly friendly and professional service. 

We unfortunately have to avoid some dates throughout the year (e.g. when a major event like the London Marathon is on). On these types of dates there will be major road closures and the quality of the tour will be greatly diminished . Otherwise it is because we are fully booked for your preferred date.

We will happily fully refund any tour cancelled with 48 hours or more notice. 

Notice does need to be given in writing though (email, sms, WhatsApp, etc) as this provides both yourselves and blacktaxidiscoverytours with a date and time stamp, thus verifying you've cancelled within the required time limit.

Refunds will be paid within 5 working days of cancellation.
